Recent Deliveries May 2016

The past few weeks has seen a diverse mix of trailers leave our manufacturing facility in Brisbane, one of which was the O’Phee BoXloader, multiloader – a repeat order for the Brisbane-based DNV Transport, who also added a B Double Skel to their growing fleet. And DNV Transport wasn’t our only repeat customer this month, with a new 3X8 Swingwing delivered to Temple Michael Constructions.

DNV Transport

Providing a range of services in and around the greater Brisbane area, DNV Transport is based close to the Port of Brisbane precinct and specialises in container movement. When they were searching for a trailer that could help them move more containers, more efficiently, the O’Phee BoXloader multiloader was the obvious choice. Key to the decision behind the purchase of the O’Phee BoXloader was trailer’s capability to safely lift a loaded container (up to 35 tonne) further away from the trailer than any of its competitors.

Other features of the BoXloader that will help DNV move containers safely and quickly include:

  • Faster ‘unpack and pack up’ than other models
  • Double stacking capability – without shortening the lifting chairs
  • Superior safety design, incorporating in-build CANBUS safety system and 2 x remote control units with emergency stop.
  • Double extension stabiliser legs

Temple Michael Constructions

Also during May, we had the pleasure of delivering another custom order for our friends and repeat customers at Temple Michael Constructions, based down in Sydney. The 3X8 Swingwing for Peter Lanigan and his team, represents the fifth Drake Trailer the company now has for its civil, pipeline and construction contracting business – who have been a customer of ours since 2008.

We love nothing more than providing quality products to quality businesses and it’s been a pleasure to be a business partner of Temple Michael Constructions as the business has enjoyed such strong growth. Their new Drake Trailers 3X8 Swingwing will provide a flexible addition to the fleet, with features such as:

  • 13.2m deck length, perfect for screens and crushers AND under length with a 2X8 dolly
  • Low profile gooseneck
  • 16t tare weight
  • Radio remote control for safer widening operation
  • Automatic greasing system
  • Chrome wheels and bespoke sign-writing set this trailer apart

It’s not the luck of the Irish that’s behind Temple Michael Constructions’ success, but good business sense and knowing quality when they see it. We hope the team at Temple Michael Constructions enjoy putting their new 3X8 Swingwing through its paces – as much as we enjoyed building it for them and we’re looking forward to shouting Peter a Guinness next time we see him.

At Drake Trailers, manufacturing the best quality trailers on the market is our passion. If you’re looking for a partner that understands your business goals and delivers a range of products that will help you reach them, contact us today.
