Customer in Focus: Corbet’s Group

Our Customer in Focus for March is Corbet’s Group. These guys have garnered a fair bit of attention on our Facebook page over their new 4X4 Deck Widener and their immaculately restored 1986 Mack Super-Liner in honour of founding grandfather Jack Corbet.

It’s not often the truck outshines the trailer on delivery day but that was the case with Corbet’s Group. It was so popular with our Facebook followers that we dedicated a post purely to up-close photos of their beautiful ride for everyone to drool over.

About Corbet’s Group

Corbet’s Group is a family-owned and operated company which has been in operation for over 40 years. Based in Gympie, Corbet’s Group operates in many industries including heavy haulage and bulk commodity transport, land clearing and grinding, water and fluid processing, plant and equipment hire and wholesale landscape supplies. They specialise in the sawmilling industry, including engineering, log and residue logistical solutions right here in Australian and around the world.

We respect their culture of innovation and drive for improvement, which runs deep in their organisation and has been the key to their expansion over the many years they’ve been in business. Corbet’s Group has been a customer of Drake Trailers for some time, and we were thrilled when they called to add another float to their fleet.

A 4X4 Deck Widener fit to be towed by a Super-Liner

Our 4X4 Deck Widener is one of our more popular heavy haulage trailers, and for good reason. This Deck Widener for Corbet’s Group features a 13-metre deck, BPW rear-steering axles on a hydraulic suspension, heavy duty landing legs and Alcoa Aluminium wheels.

This trailer will be towed behind a historical Mack Super-Liner. With a shiny new red and yellow paint job, the side panel is complete with an artistic homage to Jack Corbet and their humble beginnings as Corbet’s Timbers. There’s even been requests from our followers on Facebook for Drake Collectibles to turn this truck and trailer unit into a 1:50 diecast model. You never know what the future holds.

The 4X4 Deck Widener is designed and manufactured right here in our Wacol manufacturing facility with the highest quality materials and workmanship. Suitable for both metro and rural areas, the standard features of this trailer packs a punch.

We know the crew at Corbet’s Group enjoy their new ride. Your on-going business is much appreciated by all at The Drake Group and we can’t wait to see what you have us do next.

In 2018, Drake Trailers are celebrating 60 years in business. With six decades of experience on our side, our customers are guaranteed innovation and reliability with all our Drake products. We design and manufacture the highest quality trailers to complete the task at hand and will continue to do so for the next 60 years and more. Get in touch with The Drake Group today to discuss how our market-leading trailers can be suited to your high duty cycle fleets.
